Castle House, a charming Grade II listed boutique hotel tucked away in a quiet corner of historic Hereford, is owned and run by a local farming family with a deep passion for the region.
This elegant retreat offers 24 individually designed luxury bedrooms—eight in the adjacent Georgian Townhouse at No. 25, just a few steps from the main hotel—providing a warm, refined haven that perfectly balances historic character with modern comfort in the heart of the city.
The rooms are beautifully appointed with elegant décor, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, tea and coffee making facilities, and private en-suite bathrooms—many featuring four-poster beds or other distinctive touches that create a truly inviting and restful atmosphere.
The hotel's award-winning restaurant is renowned for its seasonal menus crafted by Head Chef Gabor Katona, with much of the produce sourced from the family's Ballingham Hall farm kitchen garden—a true farm-to-fork story. Guests can enjoy full English breakfast each morning, as well as coffees, pastries, lunch, the famous Afternoon Tea (Wednesday to Saturday 12-4pm), and evening dining in a charming setting that celebrates the best of Herefordshire's local bounty.
